Articaine Few people like to go to the dentist, and nobody likes to have a "shot", but unfortunately, it is often a necessary part of a dental visit. We have discovered and been using an anesthetic which allows us to use less of the material and give it in a less painful way. The anesthetic is called "articaine" and has recently been allowed to be used in the United States. We offer the NTI-TSS mouth appliance to help with early morning and migraine headaches. This is a small, comfortable mouthpiece which a patient wears at night to break the cycle of clenching and grinding which often contributes to headache formation. |

We practice "micro-dentistry" where extremely small decay is detected with a Kavo Diagnodent Laser detection device, and an extremely small filling is placed, before the problem gets large enough to see and feel. These fillings generally do not require anesthesia (no "shot") and are practically invisible. |

Digital Ragiography. The use of radiography or x-rays in dentistry has a long history. Dentistry has recently been fortunate to be part of the "digital age" with the advancement of radiographs which can be taken digitally. These give us the ability to take radiographs with 90% less radiation then conventional methods. |

Mini Implants. Anyone with dentures will tell you that the lower denture is the most difficult to keep in place. There are several options to improve upon the problem, including staples, inplants, and bone augmentation. Most of these surgical procedures are fairly aggressive and usually very expensive. We now have, for the patients who are candidates for it, a "mini-implant" system that can often be used to hold down those difficult lower dentures. This procedures is easy, quick and reasonable in cost. The dentures that continues to shift and lift can now be held down comfortably. |
